Snapshot V1

Snapshot v1 is the previous web client of Snapshot, the off-chain voting platform where DAOs run gasless proposals and votes signed by token holders. It is still served at v1.snapshot.box, while snapshot.box and snapshot.org serve the current client.

Legacy version: The previous Snapshot client (snapshot-labs/snapshot-v1), moved to the v1.snapshot.box subdomain after snapshot.box and snapshot.org switched to the new client (checked 2026-10-10).

Rating A: No technical restriction found (terms written only in the ToS are not counted). Governance · any EVM (off-chain voting).

Restrictions

• Geo Block: ToS only. ToS reserves geo-restriction (same SECO terms as the current client); no geo check in the v1 bundle.
• Feature Block: no.

• Terms of Service: snapshot.box/#/terms-of-use, Last updated 2025-03-04. SECO list incl. RU, UA, BY + 19.

Notes

Clean: the v1 bundle has no geo check, wallet screening or VPN detection, only the ToS text.

Live checks

• curl (2026-10-10): v1.snapshot.box serves the legacy Vite client (index.b0b1fdb0.js); no screening or geo calls in the bundle
