Aave V4 (Aave Pro)

Aave Pro is the official interface for Aave V4, live on Ethereum since 30 March 2026. V4 replaces separate per-chain markets with a hub-and-spoke design: liquidity hubs such as Core, Prime and Plus feed spokes like e-Mode markets, and since September 2026 an Equities Hub on Base accepts Coinbase tokenized stocks as collateral for USDC loans. Aave V3 keeps running at app.aave.com.

Restrictions

  • Geo Block: ToS only. ToS: region-based blocking or other technical methods; no site-level check in the app bundle.
  • Feature Block: yes. Per-asset geo check (POST /api/geo -> areAssetsGeoblocked): a flagged asset can be viewed but not supplied or borrowed from a restricted region, closing positions stays allowed. The Equities Hub (Coinbase tokenized stocks on Base) is offered only outside the US. Affected countries: United States.
  • Wallet screening: yes. ComplianceProvider -> own API route backed by COMPLIANCE_API_URL + COMPLIANCE_SECRET (provider not disclosed) Where it runs: API. Fail mode: fail-closed (status=error shows the same blocked screen with a retry button).
  • VPN / Tor detection: ToS only.
  • Asset filter: Equities Hub assets are geo-gated per region (Coinbase tokenized stocks, not offered in the US)

Notes

Closed frontend. Compliance and geo checks are server routes of pro.aave.com; the V4 contracts and the public SDK do not include them.
